Internal Auditor

We’re partnering with a growing global organization in Downtown Denver to add an Internal Auditor to its expanding team. What You’ll Be Doing as an Internal Auditor

• Support financial, operational, and compliance audits across the organization
• Perform SOX and internal control testing and maintain clear audit documentation
• Evaluate processes, identify potential risks, and recommend practical improvements
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, exceptions, and areas requiring further review
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Technology, and other teams throughout the business
• Assist with audit reporting and communicate findings to management
• Participate in process improvement, automation, and data analytics initiatives
• Gain exposure to global operations through periodic domestic and international travel

What You Bring as an Internal Auditor

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of audit experience
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of audit methodology, internal controls, SOX, and GAAP
• Energy industry experience is a plus
• Experience working with a large or complex organization is highly valued
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in data analytics and technology
• Power BI, SAP, ACL, or similar systems experience is a plus
• CPA, CIA, or interest in pursuing a professional certification is highly valued
• Curious, proactive personality with the confidence to ask questions and dig into how a business operates

Logistics

Location: Downtown Denver, CO 80202

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 base

Schedule: Full Time, Onsite with professional flexibility

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Travel: Up to 20%

Start Date: ASAP

Requirement: Bachelor’s degree and prior audit experience
